Shipping Network reported on September 8 that Evergreen Shipping realized operating income of NT $57.442 billion yuan (about US $1.908 billion) in August this year, up 14.83% year on year and down 8.5% month on month.
In the first eight months of this year, the cumulative operating income reached NT $466.065 billion (about 15.485 billion US dollars), up 63.06% year on year.
According to the latest Alphaliner data, among the top 100 liner companies in the world, Evergreen Shipping ranks 6th with 203 ships in operation, including 125 own ships and 78 chartered ships, with a total space of 1.5812 million TEU. In addition, Evergreen Shipping also holds 55 ships, a total of 539300 TEU new shipbuilding orders.
According to Evergreen Shipping's delivery plan, 7 new ships will be delivered for operation this year, with an additional capacity of about 96000 TEU. Six ships are expected to be delivered in 2023, with an additional capacity of about 87000 TEU. In 2024, 22 new ships will be delivered, with an additional capacity of about 230000 TEU. In 2025, 14 new ships will be delivered, with an additional capacity of about 88000 TEU. In 2026, 6 ships will be delivered, with an additional capacity of about 37000 TEU.
