According to Freight Forwarding Network, in order to strengthen connectivity and meet customers' comprehensive logistics needs, AP Moller-Maersk (Maersk) is increasing the frequency of scheduled flights as well as introducing more aircraft to strengthen its mainland China, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States. The growing cargo aircraft network.

Michel Pozas Lucic, global air director at Maersk AP Moller, said: "The introduction of one additional aircraft and the significant increase in rotation will further expand our ability to provide customers with scheduled flights and controlled capacity while ensuring the visibility, reliability and resilience of their supply chain. At the same time, we are further strengthening our position as a truly customer-oriented partner in the global air cargo market. "

On the Trans-Pacific Corridor linking Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) and China's Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH), weekly rotation will increase from three to six, while the weekly rotation between South Carolina Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), South Korea's Incheon International Airport (ICN) and China's Shenyang Taoxian International Airport (SHE) will increase from two to three.

In addition, air services between Denmark's Billund Airport (BLL) and Hangzhou's Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH) will be increased from three to five flights per week. At the same time, the route will introduce a newly modified Boeing 767 freighter, which is expected to be put into direct operation. The new tail, operated by Maersk's in-house cargo carrier, Maersk Air Cargo, is the fifth of six Boeing 767 freighters originally ordered as part of a new and modified freighter pipeline.

By strengthening its customer-enabled air corridors, Maersk is expected to bridge the connectivity gap between the world's three largest maritime customer markets (North America, Europe and Asia Pacific) and provide new solutions for time-sensitive and high-value cargo.

Maersk has launched a number of initiatives to strengthen its air cargo services. The company recently opened a new Chicago Airfreight Gateway facility, adding additional supply chain integration opportunities for customers using Chicago O'Hare International and Rockford International.

Three months ago, Maersk celebrated the first flight of the logistics company's new air cargo service, with weekly scheduled flights between Denmark and China, operated by Maersk Air Cargo.

Prior to this, Maersk also launched a new air cargo service, with Miami-based cargo airline Amerijet International operating scheduled flights to and from South Carolina, South Korea and China.
