July 19, ocean network shipping (ONE) announced that it will launch a connecting Thailand, Vietnam, China and Japan's new route THX.

THX route is expected to make its maiden flight from Bangkok port on August 10, with the port sequence of Bangkok-Lanchaban-Ho Chi Minh City-Nansha-Bodo-Osaka-Kobe.

For this new route, ONE said: "THX will provide our customers with new direct routes and faster transportation services, from Lin Chaban to Bodo in only 10 days."

It is worth noting that this year, in order to meet market demand, a number of liner companies have opened or upgraded Asian routes.

In June this year, Taiping Shipping launched a new weekly direct route KCS from China, South Korea to Southeast Asia, connecting China, South Korea, Malacca Strait and Vietnam's major ports. The KCS route has made its maiden voyage from South Korea's Busan Port on July 6.

Also in June, OOCL launched a new route CIS2 on the China-Indonesia route network, directly connecting China, Indonesia and the Philippines to multiple ports, aiming to strengthen network coverage.

In May, the Mediterranean Shipping Service (MSC) launched China and India's major ports between the new Asian regional routes, designed to meet growing transport demand, while enhancing Asian port connectivity.

In addition, MSC also upgraded 11 Asian routes, aiming to continue to expand and strengthen its Asian internal route network, to provide customers with new direct services, while reducing transit time and increasing capacity.
