In order to give full play to Wuhan's geographical advantages, accelerate the construction of the shipping center in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and create the best "outlet to the sea" in the central and western regions, with the strong support of Hubei Province and Wuhan City, in November 2019, the first direct route of the Yangtze River inland river, It is also Wuhan's first international water transport flight-Hanya direct flight opened.

The liner departs from Yangluo Port in Wuhan to directly sail to Japan and South Korea, and connects with China-Europe trains to create a major international sea-rail combined transport channel, so that import and export commodities such as automobiles and parts, non-woven fabrics, home appliances, agricultural and sideline products can be efficiently and quickly Sent to Eurasia. Compared with the traditional logistics mode, the "Japan-South Korea-Wuhan-Europe" sea-rail intermodal transport saves an average of 10 days, which can save 500 to 600 yuan in single-box transit handling costs, greatly reducing the comprehensive logistics costs of foreign trade enterprises. Since its operation, it has transported a total of 62400 standard containers, with an income of 0.173 billion yuan and a value of 3.76 billion yuan, helping Hubei Province to develop its open economy.


At the beginning of the 2019 route opening, that is, planning advantage project convergence, to carry out "sea, river, rail" multimodal transport, Japan and South Korea goods through the river and sea direct to Yangluo Port, and then through the China-Europe (Wuhan) train to Eurasia, forming a logistics closed loop.

In June 2020, the first batch of Japanese-produced bicycle spare parts, through the direct liner arrived in Wuhan, successfully took the train to Poland, marking the "Japan-Wuhan-Europe" international sea-rail intermodal logistics channel officially opened.


Subsequently, 100 Japanese-made cars arrived in Wuhan by liner from Nagoya, Japan, and then took a train to Mongolia, marking the official completion of the "Japan-Wuhan-Mongolia" sea-rail intermodal international channel. Up to now, 1250 vehicles have been transported, with a value of 0.525 billion yuan.

After the new channel is opened, goods can be Wuhan as the axis, and quickly travel to and from Eurasia through liners and trains. The connection of the new channel will not only seamlessly connect the Maritime Silk Road and the Land Silk Road, but will also help Wuhan accelerate the formation of a new international logistics transit hub.
