Today (August 28), COSCO Shipping Container Lines, OOCL and COSCO Shipping Ports jointly issued the "Proposal to Promote the Use of Shore Power by Ships at Ports".
The initiative aims to implement the "carbon peak, carbon neutral" target vision, the implementation of the International Maritime Organization MARPOL Convention "international shipping carbon intensity rules" new requirements, reduce ships in the port period of greenhouse gas emissions, create a green low-carbon supply chain, protect the earth's ecological environment, and vigorously promote the port of the ship to use shore power.
Three enterprises to the domestic and foreign ports and shipping industry parties issued the following initiatives:
(I), ports and terminals actively promote the construction of shore power supply facilities, to ensure that shore power supply facilities are normal, do a good job of ship berthing plan, and actively for more ships to provide shore power supply services.
(II), the shipping enterprises actively promote the ship shore power supply facilities configuration, to ensure that the shore power supply facilities are normal, in the ship berthing port terminal period actively contact, take the initiative to use shore power supply services.
(III), ship and shore both sides closely communicate and cooperate, in the connection and disconnection of shore power, strictly follow the technical specifications and operating procedures, to ensure that personnel, ships and shore power facilities safety.
The three parties jointly called on all walks of life for green low-carbon shipping construction joint action, for green low-carbon shipping development to contribute.
