"Oriental Zebrughe"-Orient Overseas Welcomes Another Environmentally Friendly 24,188TEU Giant Ship
Orient Overseas Container Lines Limited (OOCL) is pleased to welcome another new giant container ship in its fleet, OOCL Zeebrugge, the fifth of its series of twelve environmentally friendly 24,188 TEU freighters.
In customers and business partners and many other guests witnessed, Sumida Co., Ltd. deputy general manager and Jiangsu Sumida Electromechanical Co., Ltd. Chairman Shi Lei in Nantong COSCO Kawasaki Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) shipyard held a ceremony for the ship was named.
Mr. Ye Jianping, President of Orient Overseas Operations, said at the ceremony: "The company's first-half performance is a strong proof that Orient Overseas is still operating strongly in a changing market. Looking ahead, this new series of super large container ships will continue to bring economies of scale to OOCL and optimize OOCL's fleet structure, enabling us to better navigate the storms of the future. This series of new ships is equipped with the latest technology and has the latest environmental performance, which shows that we are determined to stand at the forefront of the development of the industry and promote the development of the industry with the most comprehensive and advanced technology and the most sustainable way."
The Orient Zeebrugge will serve the Asia-Europe LL3 Loop Line along with sister ships such as Orient Spain, Orient Piraeus, Orient Turkey and Orient Felicstow. Order of port:
Shanghai/Xiamen/Nansha/Hong Kong/Yantian/Geme/Singapore/Piraeus/Hamburg/Rotterdam/Zeebrugge/Valencia/Piraeus/Abu Dhabi/Port Klang/Shanghai.
