"Oriental Turkey"-Orient Overseas 24,188 TEU Series Added
Orient Overseas Container Lines Limited (OOCL) is pleased to announce the addition of a new extra-large vessel to its fleet. Today, the new ship in Nantong COSCO SHIPPING Kawasaki Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. ("Nantong COSCO SHIPPING Kawasaki") shipyard naming ceremony was named "Oriental Turkey (OOCL Turkiye)", becoming the Orient overseas in the same series of 12 freighters received the third 24,188TEU ship.
this new container ship was warmly welcomed by many guests, OOCL's partners and customers. Ms. Liu Yanhua, chairman of Sailun Group Co., Ltd., the world's leading tire manufacturer, named the new ship.
As part of OOCL's strategic development plan to further strengthen Asia-Europe route services, "Orient Turkey" and its sister ships "Orient Spain" and "Orient Piraeus" will jointly serve OOCL's Asia-Europe LL3 loop route.
At the ceremony, Mr. Chen Shuai, Director of OOCL Capacity and Route Network Planning Center and Procurement Management Center, expressed his gratitude to Nantong COSCO SHIPPING Kawasaki for its technology and craftsmanship.
