On July 5, Taiping Shipping announced that with the growing trade between China, India and Pakistan, the company launched a new transformation of the weekly direct route-China-India Subcontinent Express (CSE), the new route as the existing South China India Express (SIX) upgrade, connecting China, Singapore, India's west coast and Pakistan's main ports.

The CSE route will set sail from Shanghai on July 17. Taiping Shipping, Honghai Shipping, Zoomlion Shipping and Evergreen Shipping will jointly deploy 6 ships of 3000-4200 TEU to provide services. Among them, Taiping Shipping will deploy 2 ships on this route.

Lin Lin, Chief Trading Officer of Taiping Shipping, said: "Our existing South China India Express (SIX) will be launched at the end of 2021 and is designed to meet the efficient transportation needs of our customers. Today, in addition to fast transit times, customers also need us to provide a wider range of route coverage. Therefore, the upgraded CSE route further enhances the connection between central China and the Indian subcontinent, expanding the coverage from the west coast of India, Pakistan to Singapore, thus helping customers to expand more markets."

The CSE route's port of affiliation is: Shanghai-Ningbo-Shekou-Singapore-Klang (West Port)-Navasheva-Mondra-Karachi-Klang (West Port)-Singapore-Haiphong-Shanghai.
