Local Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) chief Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail said the department received an emergency call at 10:14 a.m. that day and rushed to the accident site and arrived at the scene 13 minutes later.
After the fire broke out, a total of 50 firefighters and police were dispatched to the accident site, involving nine fire and rescue stations (BBP) of 14 fire engines.
He said in a statement: "The fire affected 333 containers in the terminal yard, of which 13 containers were burned."
